Chief Executive Bob Makin has spoken to the Comet about the club’s plans for next season. Unveiled, deliberately or not was what seems to be the new away shirt for next season. To date the club haven’t released any details regarding the away kit, but this looks like the real thing. The design is the same as the home shirt, but with blue being the primary colour instead of white. This kit replaces the “sky” blue k
it we had last season.
Boro have also released details of the reserve league they will be playing in next season. We will again play in the Football Combination Eastern Division next season. The changes from the list of clubs that we played last season are that Grays Athletic, MK Dons and Norwich City have been replaced by Leyton Orient, Watford and Wycombe Wanderers. Out of all the 10 clubs in the division we are the only non league side. There are 2 Championship sides, 5 from League 1 and a further 2 from League 2.
Also lastly, with the players returning for pre-season training on Monday (30th June) the club have arranged a “meet the players” day at the clubs Shephalbury training ground, as agreed by Graham Westley at the recent Supporters Association AGM. Saturday July 5th will be the day when supporters will be able to go and meet the players, most of them being new to the club. This sort of thing is a good chance for the link between the club and its supporters to grow and will help the club as a whole as they look to push for promotion next season.
